Brief History of the Company
Halls Painting Contractors was established in 1978 by our now Managing Director, Adrian Hall as a sole-trader company and only employed himself as he established himself within the trade. During the years the company has slowly expanded with the workforce ever increasing year-on-year. In 2005, Adrian decided that the company should become a private limited company and did so on 28th February 2005 with the company becoming known as Halls Decorating & Painting Contractors Ltd.
Since that moment the company has never looked back and has expanded by attaining accreditations such as Constructionline and CHAS and working in new inititives to increase the company further.
The Company
Halls Decorating & Painting Contractors prides itself in providing customer satisfaction and meeting all the customers needs and requirements in the design and specification of their decoration works whatever the size.
We at Halls carry out all aspects of decorating work whatever the size from a small domestic room to a large building contract. We shall endeavour to treat every contract as the same and keep the quality of works to the maximum standard at all times.
Our geographical range of works are predominately in the Yorkshire and Lancashire area due to our current location but
we are happy to travel out of this region to carry out all types of works.
All operatives are site trained with many attaining their CSCS accreditation and any operatives not having this certification are working towards this. The operatives have been trained in numerous areas such as asbestos awareness, manual handling and hydraulic ;ift and scaffolding use. We have numerous employees that are established in paper-hanging and wide vinyl application.
Halls are full insured within Public, Employers Liability and Contractors all Risk Insurance. See below the accreditations that the company currently holds.

Constructors Health and Safety (CHAS) - The company is accredited to CHAS and finds health and safety is placed as one of the most important aspects for continual improvement. The company has been audited by CHAS by the completion of a questionnaire
The client will appreciate the time saved and the competence the company has within health and safety to carry out the works to a safe standard for both the client and the operatives. |

Dulux Contract Partnership - Recently attained by our Company.
Dulux Trade Contract Partnership is an exclusive membership scheme of independently assessed, quality assured painting contractors. |

Constructionline - The company has just attained this accreditation. Constructionline is a national database which helps the public and private organisation choose competent contractors to deliver the best service. The qualification covers forms that cover health and safety, environmental issues and quality management. |

Painting & Decorating Association - Halls have been an active member of the Painting and Decorating Association for a number of years.
The PDA helps our company for advice in new legislation and also new initiatives that may help the company in the future. The PDA is the recognised body for painting and decorating and complying with their code of practice is paramount. |

ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management - The company in July 2009 attained their quality management system certifications through CQS and is externally audited once a year.

Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) – Halls Decorating & Painting Contractors is committed to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme. This makes sure that our operatives are trained to a good understanding of health and safety and their individual competence.
The client is also assured that with Halls Decorators being committed to CSCS that they are using a professional contractor within the trade. |

Environment Waste Carriers Licence - The company currently holds a waste carrier licence for the distribution of waste and the ability to dispose of this material in a safe and appropriate manner.
Where waste is concerned, it is investigated whether waste can be re-used and sustained if necessary so it can be used on future projects. Our certification number for this certification is CB/AN5312EA. |
