Halls Decorating & Painting Contractors Ltd works extremely hard to create a safe atmosphere for all its employees and also other personnel that may come into contact with our works and may be affected by their actions.
All operatives are trained and skills are developed during their employment at Halls through plant, machinery and various products within the trade and are made aware of their duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Halls Decorators have an independant health and safety advisor who undertakes random site audits and give advise to improve our health and safety and implement new systems of works.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY, STATEMENT OF INTENT
The company is committed to maintaining a safe and continuously improving environment both internally and externally. It will do all that is reasonably practical to secure the Health, Safety and Welfare of its Employees, Contractors, Site Visitors and members of the General public and all others, in so much as they come into contact with the company and its activities.
The company expects all its employees to co-operate fully and to embrace this statement and to assist the company in achieving compliance. By working in a safe manner at all times, by not carrying out tasks for which they are not trained and reporting dangers or potentially hazardous conditions where they exist.
As a minimum, the company is committed to comply with all relevant Health and Safety legislation, but the company will not, wherever practicable confine its activities to minimal compliance but will strive to exceed them.
The Directors will be responsible for the over all implementation of this policy and will ensure that adequate resources, financial, material, or in terms of time or manpower are provided to enable this policy to be successfully implemented.
The company recognises that forward planning is an integral part of achieving a safe workplace and the Health and Safety process will be inherently part of the companies activities at all stages.
The company will assess all risks to which its employees and others may be exposed, and will strive to remove or control them or to reduce them to the lowest practicable level.
The company will communicate this policy to all its employees and will ensure that they or their appointed representatives are consulted on all Health and Safety Matters
The company will ensure that “Competent Persons” are appointed to ensure that the company complies with its duties under the Health and Safety at Work act and other statutory provisions.
The company will review this policy at least annually or where alterations in its operations, activities or changes in the law reduce this interval.
