DBS Checked Painting & Decorating Contractors.

Halls Decorating & Painting Contractors take pride in the work that we do and the responsibility for the people that we employ.

For many years a big part of our work has been in schools, colleges, universities, hospitals and care homes, these are environments considered by the government to be frequented or occupied by vulnerable people.

With this in mind we take our responsibility very seriously in the role that we play, so the people that carry out work have gone through the necessary DBS vetting procedure before they are allowed on site.

What is a DBS check?

Previously known as a CRB (criminal records bureau) check, a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is a record of all individuals unprotected, convictions, cautions, reprimands and warnings and can also include intelligence held by the police and/or the DBS that relates to that individual and their suitability for a job role.

At Halls Decorating & Painting Contractors all our employees have been DBS checked and approved to be working schools, colleges, universities, hospitals and care home.

For more information regarding the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service), please visit the governments website https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/disclosure-and-barring-service

How can this benefit you?

In recent months, many schools/colleges have been asking us to carry out works whilst students are still on the premises.

The reason for this is that with the amount of work that they want doing, they are aware that all the works cannot be concluded in such a short space of time.

Furthermore, by carrying out works during term time, it could make the works more cost effective as it would not bring the same premium rate that the school holidays are likely to bring. In addition it can help with the clients budgets.
